Send invitation email to Mac users to update their email signatures

How to invite users
Employees menu > Click the gear wheel and select 'Send Invitation Email':
Your employees will receive an email from you their Xink account administrator. (The sender email is 'Xink.io').
Here’s an example of an email that will be sent to employees you’ve imported to your Xink account.
When you click the link it will take you to your personal page:
Installing the app for Mac
Download the file to your drive and drag the file to your 'applications' folder and double-click it.
It will now appear in your tool bar. If you get a certificate question, please ignore this and start by pressing ctrl + double-click Xink. If this does not work, then go to 'System preferences' -> 'Security & Privacy' -> 'General' and check 'Allow applications downloaded from Anywhere'. This is standard Mac security.
When the app opens, you can see the Xink logo which looks like an email with a white background and light blue signature.
Enter your Access code
Employees need to enter the Access Code which is supplied in the personal web page. To open this page, simply click the link in the invitation email.
To enter the access code click the Xink icon and then 'Enter access code' from the menu appearing:
Copy/paste the Access code from the web page in the dialogue box (which can be hidden behind other programs) and close the form. Note that the word 'token' and 'access code' means the same.
When the app is connected with Xink, the icon displays on a white background with a little green checkmark.
If it is not connected, it will show a red warning and users need to re-connect using their access code.
Retrieving your email signatures into Outlook
When the signature list is updated from Xink, the user need to apply the default manually in Outlook for Mac.
In Outlook for Windows this is done automatically, but this is not supported on Mac where you need to do it manually. This is how Outlook for Mac is built by Microsoft.
To choose your standard signature click 'E-mail' > 'Signatures' in the Tools line and 'Edit signatures'.
Choose which signature you want as your default.
Next time when you click 'E-mail' the signature will appear.
Getting email signature updates from Xink
The app checks every 5 min. if there is a new signature available. This check is transparent and if there are no changes, the signatures will remain as they are.
If there is a change to the signature, the user will get notified by the app. The Xink icon chances to an icon with a green up-arrow.
To get the new signature click the 'Check for edited signatures' item when clicking the icon and then your modifications will update.
Once you have updated the signatures, you need to re-apply it as the default one as described above.
This step will always be manual on Mac as long as Microsoft Outlook for Mac does not support this to appear automatically.
The logo on white with a small green check mark indicates that the Xink app is online.
The logo on white but with a red exclamation mark indicates that the Xink app is disconnected from Xink. You’ve most likely disconnected because you put in the wrong Access code or lost your Internet access.
The logo on white with a circular arrow means that the app is currently retrieving new signatures.
The logo on white with a green arrow pointing up indicates that there is a new signature available which can be downloaded by clicking 'Check for edited signatures'.
How to upgrade the Xink desktop app for Mac
You download the new file and overwrite the old file xink.app.
That is all that is needed to perform the upgrade.
There is no MSI package for Mac.
Q: Does ‘Update all signatures’ apply the default email signature?
A: No, it adds the signatures in to the Outlook signatures list. The signature defined as ‘default’ does not automatically set itself as the default. Re-applying default is a manual process by the end user.
